Miss Universe 2011 Final Contestants

Tell me honestly. Haven’t you heard all these questions from previous pageant jurors? Have a look at these queries for the top five Miss Universe contestants:

  • MISS UKRAINE: If you could trade lives with anyone in history, who would it be and why? – Amelia Vega
  • MISS PHILIPPINES: Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why and why not?-Vivica Fox:
  • MISS CHINA: Nude beaches are common in some parts of the world. Is public nudity appropriate or inappropriate and why? –Isabeli Fontana
  • MISS BRAZIL: What would you do to avoid fighting a war that you did not agree with it? – Helio Castroneves
  • MISS ANGOLA: If you could change one of your physical characteristics, which one would it be and why? –Lea Salonga

I have three speculations: (1) The jurors have already made preliminary assessments of the candidates prior to picking the top 10, five, and then the crown bearer. (2) The top 10 finalists have been ranked even before the big night, meaning the remaining 78 candidates just pretended they were participating in the game of confidence, beauty and intelligence –i.e. anomaly. (3) If you want someone to be voted out or be unpopular, let her talk about religion. Vivica Fox knew so well how to make Shamcey Supsup lose the Q & A game. It was a tricky question. If she chose to please the world, or the judges, she would deny her beliefs – come off cool, flexible or open-minded. Yet she chose to answer truthfully, or stubbornly, so she lost the sympathy of the earthly.

    I saw this with my wife. Mrs. Philippines should have definitely won. She was flawless. I like Mrs. Angola, but she had a lot of mistakes. She was very clumsy coming down the stairs in the gown competition, and the way she answered her question was very similar to the last Filipino contestant that every had a fit over because of her “nothing major major” comment. I disagree though that V. Fox was trying to make her lose though. America has been taken over by atheists, and I think she was trying to upset the system. You could hear the anger in her voice almost. To even speak about God in the states is a no no. I was shocked that the Philippine Judge gave Supsup a second place rating. What? She was top notch. Maybe this lady is too good for the Phil now, because she was in that crappy broadway show Cats. pssshh.

    Wow, I kinda agree with you. Actually, I saw this interview at a news in local channel that those competitions can be “napulitika.” Because of Donald Trump impressing countries and so on so forth.
    But for me, Ms. Philippines did a great job.
