My voice reverberated with excitement as my fingers felt the strings of a stranger’s guitar. I began strumming..humming..beaming. I hate getting disappointed from the start, so I picked songs with easy chords: Hawak Kamay by Yeng Constantino [G – Em – C – D, Am – Bm – C- D,  G- Em – C9 – D], Same Ground by Kitchie Nadal [ A – G – A – G – A – E – F#m7 – D], and Leaving on a Jet Plane by John Denver: [G – C] All my bags are packed I’m ready to go. As the title of this post claims, I’m singing on a wedding, and emceeing too. After playing a few other songs, I was discontented with A,Bm,C, C7,D,Em,& G. Rusty. I commanded my fingers to try out F and B. Calluses. So long, guitar. See you again real soon. After six months, I think you can hire me to play (a piano, hopefully) and sing on your wedding.
