Bohol Day Tour for Beginners (and Science Teachers)

Bohol Day Tour for Beginners (and Science Teachers)

Chocolate Hills popping out of a textbook. River cruise that won’t break a bank. Nature trip you can do in less than a day. Bohol knows your time is precious so it gives you a grand tour even if you stay here only for a day. I learned about this fact during my first-ever trip to Bohol, where we stayed at The Bellevue Hotel.

ON my second visit to Bohol, I was no longer a noob and my role was upgraded to a tour guide (sorta). Hassle-averse as I was, I contacted Bohol Life Tours & Travel (Sun: 0923 9883557 | Globe: 0916 280 8522) to arrange a personalized Bohol Day trip for me, my sister, Rhissan, and her friend (and now my adopted sister), Elaine.

We couldn’t be more than happy about their service.  Our driver cum tour guide, Christopher, could predict what time a horde of visitors would swarm in a tourist spot. With his help, we dodged the crowds and enjoyed all the stops. Even at River cruise dining, we were the first to make it. If it had been a race, we’d be awarded “The Amazing Tourists”. But it wasn’t, so only our tummies were elated.

Feel Free to Get Creative with Your Bohol Itinerary

Even if you planned the tiniest details of your itinerary, chances are, you won’t tick off all the best things to do in Bohol. After all, it’s a province that deserves multiple visits before one can truly capture its grandeur.

While we followed some parts of above suggested list, we deviated to include ATV driving along the hills at Carmen, Bohol.

When Christopher told us to try this new-ish activity, the gang couldn’t resist it. Having gone ATV driving in Legazpi along Mt. Mayon’s muddy and scenic trails, I was sure it would be fun for Rhis and Elaine to try this for the first time.

Here are some pictures of us driving, you’d be the judge if the gals were really having a great time.

I never thought this would become one of the highlights of the trip. They said it was. Until Chocolate Hills hogged the limelight.

The Mesmerizing Chocolate Hills in Bohol

I’d be lying if I say I’m tired of looking at Chocolate Hills. Seeing it for the second time only made it closer to my heart. Pardon the sweet talk.

It’s not everyday that teachers get a realistic picture of this geological marvel. They teach it in Geology or History class but rarely do they see the actual Chocolate Hills. What a liberating experience it would be if our teachers are well-traveled. Their experience can deeply enrich their stories when in class.

I brought this up because my companions are Science teachers. They study and teach living things and other fascinating elements of the world. I’d love for Rhis and Elaine to keep exploring and was hoping this trip would be the start to more travels.

P.S. Will you keep me posted, ladies?
