Hotel Review: Treat Yourself to a Relaxing Weekend at Cebu Quest Hotel

Around March, I felt I needed a break from the daily grind. You know what I mean, fellow working-class 30-ish folks.  It doesn’t have to be a crazy fun island hopping trip or an adventure-filled nature getaway that required long hours of commute.

So I began fantasizing about an awesome city break. Somewhere far enough to take my mind away from the dirty dishes, uncleaned toilet, and other domestic demands of adulting (i.e. to do grown up things and hold responsibilities).

While I was dreaming of a cool, clean and comfy retreat within the city, Quest Hotel’s invitation came right on time. And like love, staying at Quest is sweeter the second time around. And you’re about to find out why. This welcomes you at Quest Hotel's Conference rooms

Bonding and Socializing at Quest Hotel Cebu

When the time comes to mix things up a bit, who do you drag along for a relaxing hotel staycation? I’d say your girlfriend, not your boyfriend or partner. It has a ton of benefits, you’ll see.

So it became “catching-up time” for Jewel and me. If you’ve read my story about Sagada, you’d know that I traveled with her to the Mountain Province on Valentine’s Day. Now I remember the trip with fondness, putting a huge grin on my face.

We gladly shared a twin bed room, flipped TV channels to look for Tagalog movies (mostly, to bash them), and did these pretend pillow fights for the camera. That’s how she stays true to her brand, Jewel Clicks. Photos tell her story as well as the tales of those around her.

Except for Estan who I caught humming along while some were hogging the mic (guilty me!), everyone sang their hearts out at Quest Hotel’s upscale karaoke space.

Festive and Dainty Dining at Puso Bistro and Bar

Quest Hotel Cebu has an all-day dining restaurant called Puso Bistro and Bar. It offers guests a generous taste of the best Filipino and international dishes. With a dizzying array of breakfast, lunch and dinner treats, it is so easy to forgo self-control and fill your plates with yummy pastries, sushi, salads, meat, and desserts while dining here.

Expect no less than a hearty meal throughout your stay when you book a complimentary buffet breakfast. Among the earthly delights you might treat yourself, food often comes at the top five. Agree?

If you’re ever overwhelmed with the dining options at Puso, ask the staff for an A La Carte menu to cherry-pick the dishes that you wish to try. Don’t be deceived by the familiar names, none of these dishes taste like the ordinary.
